Friday Freebie - 3 books to get you pumped for 2018

Updated: Mar 14

Greetings all,

List of books to read for the upcoming school year

Drive by Daniel Pink: I love reading about what motivates people to do and not do things. TBH, I started reading this book about two years ago, and I need to pick it back up again.

The Teacher's Journey by Brian Costello: I was honored to be selected to review this book before it came out on the market. It follows the journey of several teachers and how they became teacher superheroes. I recommend this one if you want to discover your teaching superhero story!

Future Driven by David Geurin: Roger Davis, a new friend and colleague, gave me this book at a local Edcamp last month. I have yet to dive into this book, but it will push my thinking and challenge me to do more in the classroom.

* Bonus book *

This book provides preservice teachers (or teachers in training) a voice in channeling their inner edumagic! It challenges the thought that “teaching” begins only after certification and college graduation. It brings to life the exciting news that students in teacher preparation programs have value to offer their future colleagues even as they learn to become teachers!

It gives positive examples, advice from preservice teachers, helpful tools, and plenty of encouragement for preservice teachers to learn, dream, and do amazing things in their programs. It will inspire, encourage, and ignite that passion within preservice teachers to show you that YOU have the magic within you, but it is up to you to let it out!
