Every semester, we do digital portfolio presentations and have fun learning and sharing about edtech tools used in the classroom. During our digital portfolio presentations, these six tools were the top tools used in our class. If you haven't checked them out yet, add them to your list of tools to check out this summer for your class in the fall.
Canva for educators - https://www.canva.com/education/. There are many resources to create content, including slideshows, virtual backgrounds, posters, and infographics. The sky is the limit.
Nearpod and peardeck - use your PowerPoint presentations and make them engaging with checks for understanding, images, videos, links, and VR.
Nearpod - https://nearpod.com/
Peardeck - https://www.peardeck.com/googleslides
Sway - https://sway.office.com/ If a website developer and old-school Microsoft publisher had a baby, it would be Sway. There are many creative uses, from presentation tools to newsletters. This one is a winner.
Buncee - https://app.edu.buncee.com/ We used buncee to create bitmoji classrooms. They were a blast and so easy to make.
Google Earth - https://www.google.com/earth/ We made virtual field trips and traveled the world using Google Earth. Learn about habitats and poets or geometric land formations. This tool is so fun and creative.
